“We produce 3,000 tonnes of potatoes and onions for domestic, export and processing markets. We bought the Aurora Agropal R2 Produce Palletizer to automatically stack bags of product on pallets.

It’s saved us about $110,000 in wages for a start, with two staff eliminated from the process. Plus, production has gone up 20-30%. Simply put, more product is getting out there.

The best part is the equipment has helped us to look after our good crew – hold on to some of the older ones for as long as we can. Stacking is one of the hardest parts of the job and previously the staff feeding the line with produce would have to look after their friends’ backs. Now the line is operating at a better capacity.

The palletizer stacks product straighter and that makes it easier to get it into containers because the sides are nice and even. Before, things could be put in a bit willy nilly as staff got tired. Now stacks never fall over and it saves us a lot of labour in restacking products and double handling.
