Quick and efficient installation coupled with finding just the right solution for the project is the key to success for a partnership between HR Fisken and Aurora.

Managing Director John Fisken says Aurora’s skills, experience and promptness make them a first-rate provider.

“We have worked with them before, they are trustworthy and they do what they say they will,” says John.

The system itself came after much research into finding the right tool for the job. Once a decision on the right solution was made, the roll out was swift.

“The system was installed and is working well. There have been no problems and the installation was quick The machine went in on a Friday and was working within days,” John says.

“The benefit is the machinery is newer, the parts are easier to use and replace, it stacks better and it’s easier to operate.” says John. “The palletiser is more efficient than previously; we’re now opperating two more tonne an hour than before.”

“We’ve had the automatised palletizer about a month now and it’s going fantastically! A couple of other small independent mills we associate with recommended the equipment and spoke highly of it. Their recommendation gave us the confidence to go ahead and purchase.

The palletizer has boosted our productivity. We’re a seasonal company and sometimes go through phases where we have to ramp up production. Just now we’re pre-loading stock before the season, making product to sell later. This machine enables us to cut down on labour now, meaning we don’t have to employ extra labour for bagging until we need it in spring.

From a health and safety point of view, the palletiser is great. It puts a bag on the machine, weighs it, drops it out and stacks it. It cuts out all the lifting and makes it easier for our employees.

The product definitely looks good at point of sale. We’ve always prided ourselves on stacking product really neatly on pallets, wrapping it well so that it’s safe for shipping on the trucks. We’re conscious of the fact our product needs to look good in the marketplace. At first we were a bit nervous about whether a machine could match that quality set up, but we’ve found it to be as good, if not better than what we did before.”

“We’ve greatly increased productivity and cut costs significantly since purchasing the automated bag filling and closing line and palletizer for our business. The ability to bag quickly and efficiently has hugely sped up our production.

We’re seasonal and clean our seeds six months of the year. It’s been difficult to hire three operators to work for that short amount of time, train them up and then at the end of it, have to let them go. Now we’re down to one operator the whole year around, which cuts costs significantly. And our operator loves it! No more lifting bags.

I’d recommend Aurora’s end of line process solutions to others in the industry because of the productivity gains alone. I’d also say get them because they’re simple to use, especially compared to other models I’ve looked at.

Plus, the people at Aurora are good to work with. Mike’s really approachable and I like that they gave me a direct mobile number and have a ‘any issues, ring me’ attitude. They kept me posted on project management and delivery times too, couldn’t fault it.”
